Got the response from Mr Bryan about the tailings challenge. Basically it is common issue that most of mining operations, not just iron ore operations, have to work through.

In fact, Hawsons Iron Project is a very special one and a very lucky one to have 1 single issue to deal with IMO.

Most of other mines would have so many other issues to deal with e.g. water source, power access, rail access, road access, metallurgical issues, impurities issue, toxic waste risk, port access, logistical issue, and so many possible technical issues. Hawsons is a uniquely stand-out near perfect project IMO. That is why it has had all levels of government support (federal, NSW, Broken Hill).
