GRR already has pipeline. Are they building a new one?
The main differences would be that in the case of GRR they can use the path used by the previous pipeline to build the new one so that makes it easier. Having said that, the terrain in Tasmania is a lot more difficult then through South Australia so that would add to the cost I would think, plus they might have to build it much stronger since the pressures involved are probably higher?
Will be interesting to see what the BFS comes up with as cost for the pipeline. But considering they already where planning a pipeline to Broken Hill I think it will be quite doable. It will add to the costs but the savings on transport, the control the company will have and the flexibility it gives in choice of port should easily make up for any expense. The more I think about it, the better it looks.
Another great choice by management in thinking ahead.
