month ago, Premier Daniel Andrews predicted power prices would rise about four per cent.
But AGL has announced that due to increases in the wholesale energy price, residential
customers on standing offers will see their bills jump 9.9 per cent in 2017.

Last week I predicted power prices would double following the Hazlewood closure. I will be right. The stupidity of closing a power station before there is a new on line, is amazing.
