Lithium is still going to be the primary storage application. Hydrogen shipping is going to take a decade to become a real business. In that time Lithium Battery Storage has a clear run on the market and a first mover advantage. Yes hydrogen has long duration storage over Li at the moment, but there is very limited danger in moving Li around verses H2. In that time Li can really solidify itself as a dominant technology.
