There is a company in Brisbane making Graphene Aluminium batteries at button battery scale at the moment and they use graphite/graphene produced through a plasma pyrolysis plant with methane feedstock - similar to what Monolith Materials are doing to form carbon black.

They say that they can produce such high quality and pure graphene that it exceeds all others they have tested. I wonder if they have tested something like our graphitic product, or if they were even aware of had the choice or chance. But their battery specs so far from University of QLD are spectacular. Especially charge times, in the minutes.

It will be interesting to see the results of that paper you mentioned above.
