I cant see why a stock-forum like Hotcopper cant reflect the sort of content which appears in the Business Section of a daily metropolitan newspaper, which sometimes will include relevant political events which affect financial markets.
What you dont see in the Business Section of daily papers is political editorials and journalists' opinions, and I cant see why we should have them here. Why should I presume that anyone would be interested in my political views and would anyone presume that I am interested in theirs.
Example : The fact that today the markets are closed in Australia and New Zealand because our nations commemorate the events at Gallipoli is relevant to Hotcopper. The news item I read today in the Herald-Sun claiming that the Turks were 'Martyrs of Allah' in Gallipoli is *not* relevant Hotcopper material.
