there is lots to be said in regards to the whole issue . I just want to grab one and thats the counting of how many people have read a post in a thread .
Michael West (writer of the article, ) makes a good example (After our last story on Empire, hundreds of HotCopper punters vented their spleens. One comment ''thread'' about Devereux and defamation was viewed more than 6000 times.)
Every time someone views a new post , on a thread the entire count on every post goes up by one .
The new HC had that issue ironed out . ones i viewed the latest post the count on all other post had not gone up .
correct me if i am wrong but to prove my point , find yourself a dead thread ,now ( while the old HC is back ) tap on the last post , take note of how many readers have been looking. Now repeat the process , exit the thread , reenter and view the count gone up by one on every post . as i said best done on a dead thread late at night .
