I live in Brisbane and have been trading for almost two years.
Turing 21 in a couple of weeks and I'm towards the end of a dual degree of finance and environmental engineering at UQ.
I have had plenty mates in my degrees/age group who initially get excited about trading but give up pretty quickly.
I think this is because they are never truly passionate or they are just looking for a quick payoff with little/no work required.
I was lucky enough to score an internship with Barclay's in in Singapore at the end of my second year (2007) and ever since a week sitting on the traders desk I have been hooked.
