The Doc has the most shares with other people he knows, which means he basically votes through everything he thinks is good with no barriers to get over.....

So all placements, raisings of funds, dishing out of shares he basically controls and that is one big reason imho he will never stand down and let someone else in to spoil what he can control...

He makes the rules on what he wants and the get passed accordingly....

With him stepping down yes he still has the major voting but it wont be in his interests if he doesn't make the subject of the rulings for the vote.....EXAMPLE, would a new CEO make a ruling to borrow money to multiple entities????The answer to that i would presume would be NO, So why would he step down having ALL those shares if he couldn't control the reasons why the votes were needed in the first place.....

He has to captain the ship and EVERYTHING he wants by way of voting rights he gets.......Now it makes more sense why HCT is a loss making company(by the multiple millions)instead of working hard trying to appreciate the SP


A bit like Packer and Crown, he holds 37% and his friends own a good load too, everything he wants putting through goes through and the stuff he doesnt then doesnt get through as he has enough votes to pass or reject bids, thats why one of the reasons to retain his gambling licences he has to sell his shares to under 10% holdings so his controlling grip becomes less of an influence...
