I am pretty sure todays spkies are a software error that is exaserpated by bandwidth issues. I suspect the bars that are plotted have been corrupted as they probably have not properly implemented atomic data transfer...corruption. I quite often see this on my iress client as i have a slow connection. if i refresh my client chart the data reverts to normal. In this case however i think it is a server issue.
