Yesterday's announcement surely confirms the viability of oil production from the Chinguetti salt dome. The question still remains though how much oil is in the reservoir and how much is recoverable. Appropos of this are the aspects of finding the gas cap level and also the bottom of the oil at the oil/water interface. Can any of our experienced group comment on this and the part of yesterday's announcement which said 650 Mscf gas flowed.
Questions. What does Mscf mean and does it suggest that the tested Zone was at the oil/gas interface? If so does that mean that the next production test (presumably higher up the hole) is likely to be a gas result? Who can/will answer please.
