What I think is missing is whether or not there was an oil/water contact at the bottom. Obvoiusly they drilled as far as they thought they needed to (maybe entered a new formation) because they would have gone further if there continued to be oil.
Difficulties now lie in how to turn this find into a producer. With so much gas, how do they produce just the oil?/do they produce both the gas & the oil?/is there enough oil in this well to be commercial?
Still good news though. Now the focus will be back to see how fast they can get that oil to flow on the previous well.
