The decision to stop short of planned target depth also puzzled me but I assume they might still go deeper.
I agree that hdr would be a moving target if a takeover attempt was made in the middle of a drilling campaign, however it would all be relative if the offered consideration was all Woody shares.
In other words good or bad fortune would effect both wpl and hdr
