Towie raised an interesting point. They have a mechancial problem and need some parts to finish the production testing. So they decide to do some more drilling as the new parts are shipped in. So far, so good.

Why did they move 20km East to drill Banda when they could have moved, say 4km south, to drill the 3rd Ching step out well?

My guess, is that Woodsides geologists need more time to evaluate the results of Ching-2 before deciding on the exact location of the 3rd appraisal well.

Also, I was wrong about Banda. I thought it was in Block3, but it is actually in Block 4. The new numbering system will be confusing. Banda will be Chinguetti-4-3 and the 3rd ching well will be Chinguetti-4-4.
