And, as far as I can see, most people would agree that nearly all issues take a back seat to the ability to engineer or intersect a fracture system.
With regards to HEWI, where it does not have the natural jointings that make granite an ideal fraccing target, it is far more succeptable to chemical weathering, which could be used to engineer a large exchange system.
