If it is any consolation, to see how lame these analysts are, Citi had a price target on WBC of $21.50 for most of this year. After their results were announced it upgraded the price target on 9/11/2012 to 28.50. So for a company which they felt should have been valued at $66 billion, they suddenly decided a valuation of $87 billion was more appropriate, an increase of 32.6%. Nothing in the result justified such an increase. And that is about when the share price started tanking...
