    Hi Folks

So the professionals (big boys, Institutions call them what you want) thought the offer of $30.95 was a good price and stumped up a couple of billion. Maybe a discount clause gives some of them a buy price a little bit less. The question is did they buy to hold long term? Or do they expect to sell into a price recovery and get their money back plus profits in the short to medium term?

The way I look at it is someone got a special discounted price of $30.95. To get that they had to put up a whole lot of money. I brought my tiny little slice and paid less than that. If I keep long term that's ok. If the price rebounds in the short term and I sell for a tidy profit. That's ok too?

The fact is all banks have to re capitalise and ANZ just did it. I'm relaxed with my ANZ buy.
