Very true OpTrader. Broad Market vs Sector vs specific stock. Which to own (and more broadly speaking in what relative percentage weightings the portfolio).
The banking business is risk management. Risk taken with every loan made. Now price (interest rate) is meant to reflect risk (not having principal paid back with interest). See that more in commercial than retail. Hence sub-prime (in USA as per FICO score).
