I totally agree however, AMP only entered into their most recent reinsurance deal off the back of a horror financial result. Surely you would agree that a diligent, dare I say competent management, would have had the reinsurance in place before losing $400m as opposed to doing so after a massive loss.
I agree that reinsurance is vital so this begs the question, why weren't AMP already doing it?
