...this tactic also attempts to dissuade other interested but non-holding entities from buying into the company while said powerful interests are accumulating...
...the most recent example of such a phenomenon/tactic was the negative/smear campaign in the media against TLS (Telstra) in 2010/2011 when it was under 3 bucks a share...
