No panic if you controll the share price and short which is what people are referring to when they say shorters. Not talking about a bloke at his computer with 10k to 100k having a punt. Funds that have billions who control the SP to some extent at least. If a very large fund owned 10% of VOC and was not hedged I guarantee the SP would have been protected in the first place.
Of course a Very large fund would not have been stupid enough to not hedge VOC. We use hindsight they use a team of accountants.
