Be interesting to see what happens over the next two months. The US senate has agreed to extend the "debt limit" to December and we will need to see whether that settles the markets or otherwise. DOW was flat (about 9 points down) in Friday trade in the US so no pointers yet.
We now only have 17 days before the permit hearing and I suspect we could see some modest upwards moves in the SP over the interim - maybe the permit has been factored in to some extent already but I think we can still expect the SP to go up a bit once the permit is granted.
Then it will depend on when drilling commences. Some posters have suggested this won't be until early in 2022 and they may be on the money with that suggestion.
Timing of the next CR will be interesting. Will they wait until the first drilling is done? Or will they jump in first - after the permit is a done deal?
All in all, an interesting end to 2021.
