I agree with your prognosis entirely. The 'pearl-clutching' question not addressed to you in particular ... just a general observation ... imo too much focussing on day-to-day ups and downs, even when the day is not particularly 'down' !.
Maybe holders need to look to their average buy-in price before looking for an audience for sympathy ... and looking at the BNL squiggle over the last year ...
... it's hard to see any current holder feeling hard done by.
But, there you go ... human nature.
