Matt72.. If I had a choice between 600kms and 200kms, then I would be more than happy to have the shorter distance, that simple common sense.
However is the distance major impediment, for me its not, but it in terms of risk, yes it needs to be noted as a risk (infrastructure risk)
I have spoken to KNL officials and recently read a broker report after their mine visit. In that report they mention;
- final section of travel on dirt road
- river crossing via barge (includes heavy haulage) Construction has started on a bridge.
As for 200,000 to 300,000 tonnes per annum. Current graphite flake market is 1.1milllion pa (overall graphite approx 2.2mtpa). However it does offer significant growth. Headlines such as Telsa's gigafactory could offer 37% growth could lead you think electric cars is going to propel flake production.
Yet Telsa's current usage is 83ktpa and the gigafactory will need an additional (conservative 121ktpa). Bloody SYR could supply that need almost on its own.
Anyway it is all semantics.
Good luck to all UNX holders.
