Hotfire i'd like to give you the link but cant find it, apparently vanadium is bad in graphite when used in electrical applications, from memory it inhibits conductivity, while it can be removed its costly to do so and when as you point out there is lots of graphite coming online. I believe the likes of syr and ton will flourish but they will be in the steel market etc.
