The Qld govt own the Mt Morgan mining legacy problem and would be keen to see it dealt with. CRB are negotiating with the govt to waive the mining royalties on production from Mt Morgan in return for remediation of the mining waters in the dam. This would bring AISC down closer to $300 oz than $400 oz.
With regard to jv, not sure but I was thinking maybe 50:50. Clean teq would need to contribute capital of course to buy in but it looks like a very favourable risk to reward proposition.
Carbine have a similar preference to clq in terms of new project profile. ie difficult metallurgy/water issues that no one else can make a go of. Pick it up cheap and use clean ix to add value . they are also keen on strategic metals eg cobalt etc. As a jv partner they are a very good fit with clq.
