I think the hand flapping carry on we had from a small section of the Community a couple of years ago against vaccination was stupid.
The "Government" had to step in and demand people take some responsibility by threatening to withhold some welfare payments assisting child care costs to make them be a little more Community minded.
The fact is should one child not receive some sort of vaccination due to an allergy, that won't have any effect on the dozen kids around him / her that have had a vaccination.
The following vaccinations are recommended at 2 months...and continue at intervals for the first 18 months. They seem to be adding more and more. We had vaccination cards for our kids to keep a record of what they had and hadn't had...these had to be presented at school.
Many can be contained in the one injection. If a certain dose could cause a problem I would think that particular dose could be removed.
At 12 months; Measles, mumps and rubella (MMR)
- Hepatitis B, diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis (whooping cough), Haemophilus influenzae type b, inactivated poliomyelitis (polio) (hepB-DTPa-Hib-IPV)
- Pneumococcal conjugate (13vPCV)
- Rotavirus
Though I recall we all as kids had a dose of the measles, and mumps as well as some had rubella (german measles).
We built our resistance through exposure...and many kids now still get a dose of the measles even though they have been "vaccinated"...
Good on Pauline Hanson for once again refusing to just roll over and say things that the majority of Politicians are too gutless to.
