Hi Paul, Its the fact the Minister has gone public thats unusual, particularly during an election campaign. Its not the fact Susan Ley was apparently rolled thats at issue but rather that she is that miffed about it she has disclosed it.

it certainly injures the coalition and bolsters labor because the Minister is perceived as being in sync with Labor’s policy rather than the govt’s. Making it public also emphasises the division on the issue. Not a good look and certainly damaging.
