Greed, greed, greed.! In my opinion...
In the whole scheme of things, when you consider the number of shares HR holds, this example you have shown us Mick, is paultry. It compromises his ability to focus on the big picture when he's looking for little back-hand payments like you've pointed out.
This company has around $4b in the ground. He is in receipt of a directors salary and holds shares. Why would he want to muck around with this? Why cant he just be a MD and get on with it?
I can see the saliva running down his chin and his hands trembling each month he gets paid. Terrible!
Meanwhile, we'll just keep on waiting. For some, they have to pay interest on monies borrowed to buy into this "Great" company. Others are losing interest on what they could be earning with other stock, but with blind faith leading them, they chose to leave their hard-earned in QMC, waiting waiting waiting for whats in that pot of gold for them at the end of the rainbow!
