I'm trying to understand this in a more scientific sense of how the chemical reactions occur within the body.
There does not seem to any reasonable explanation about it, which, in turn, leaves a few holes in the theory as to how the mixture gets from mouth and into the blood stream. This has me doubting somewhat the validity of the claim, esp. when terms like "maple syrup" and "baking powder" keep getting thrown around.
Surely if there were any scientific explanation, I would have thought terms sodium bi-carbonate and fructose, glucose would have be used ?
