    Hi all
    this is especially about re-vamping an existing fireplace with either a wood-burning stove or a pellet stove.
    ... and I have in mind to get fire bricks and line the back wall of the fire place with this, at the moment it is boarded up and I have a long electric panel heater on the front, which is not very efficient
    So;
    every year when it gets cold, I look at this arrangement which costs a fair bit of money to run and it does not give that cosy warm feeling a 'real' fire place would do. I then consider - again - installing a proper wood-burning stove, (not a good idea for a woman living on her own, though - chopping of wood required, storing, handling it etc.)

    Today I came upon a cheap good-as-new pellet stove (almost unused) for $1000, made in Italy and looking very chique and efficient too. Do any of you have any experience with pellet stoves - and the cost of running those? Price of pellets etc. cleaning up?
    Any suggestions welcome.
    Greetings
    Taurisk
