Yes, there have been individuals/denominations who predicted a rapture date and fell flat on their backsides because they wrongly interpreted scripture......The next prophetic event is the rapture and The Bible clearly teaches that what we are experiencing now is the final stage before the taking away of the Church..."in the twinkling of an eye" (THE BLESSED HOPE).....Can that happen now ? I hope so.....Can that happen tomorrow ?. I hope so...Next week/month/year?..etc.....Everyone has the option of mocking/disregarding/ignoring/rejecting what the Bible teaches and can choose to be one of those who after the event receive their PhD in hindsight....Believers(Saints) who reject the rapture though will be stiil be taken by surprise for though they reject The Rapture they are still saved (and taken) simply because they have placed their total trust in Christ alone with the same applying to all the dead Saints since the stoning of Steven
