GTP great southern limited

The land is not yours. The trees on the land are yours. The land is owned by GTP (probably with a mortgage). If the land was sold (if GTP goes down) the purchaser may (depending upon the contractual arrangement with you) demand you remove your trees from their land.

This will require a substantial expense and may result in a serious net loss after any timber/pulp sales.

I suggest you get legal advice on your position relative to your contractual situation and your future liabilities in the event of GTP failing.

For the record I hold no GTP shares but live in an area where they have purchased significant areas of land for forestry.
