    when the soviet union fell apart - people were unpaid, and even when they were paid, the income was about $1 per day for a lot of people... one way or the other, they survived - and a few generations would live in the one small flat.

    there is nothing wrong with people living with their parents, until they are 30, and get support from their parents... the marginal cost of providing for another mouth, is not all that much.. also, there is no need for the parents to provide for alcohol, or ice, or whatever
