The Chilean president has visited the region. That in mention town is located around 65km north of SQMs and ALBs evaporation ponds.

My questions to the HC community:
1. How much does rainfall effect evaporation ponds?
My logic would suggest that it should increase the water level and delay the evaporation process. Can anybody confirm?
2. How much rainfall was in the exact area of the ponds?
Was it enough to make a difference? Can anybody find damage reports from SQM?
If it causes some negative effect could we be heading for another supply disappointment from Chile's brines?
