Can help on question 1 - Yes, heavy rain falling on evap ponds would dilute lithium content, therefore extending the time of the evaporation process. If they need to fill offtake orders, they may need to process anyway, which from my understanding would equate to lower overall Li recoveries as a % of brine processed.
I read a week or so ago that Argentina was copping heaps of rain also, which apparently is connected to a weather event that occurs every 2 to 3 years.
