SFR has 1.5% to 2.5% short position average for last three month.
1.5% to 2.5% short on a stock like SFR is Brokers and market makers like IG and CMC borrowed collateral for their platfoms members day traders margin trading accounts, shares, options/puts/warrants and CFD
Hedgefunds dont pay managers to short $1b market companies, even if every single shorted share totalling 2% of SFR was held by one Hedgefund and they were betting on the baisis SFR goes to ZERO they will make $25 million dollars.
A good analogy is Billionaires who like gambling dont go to a casinos and dont sit down at the $10 max table.
