Great post.
That modus operandi by the hedge funds seems to match what is happening to ARI. We need some back bone by the board and management to paint a full picture and by the shareholders to turn it around.
I wouldn't compare ARI debt / gearing with the high level at FMG, but in the case of FMG, they have at least come out swinging against the shorters.
