Sorry ocker,I should have explained it was the hedge funds shorting Xstrata on the hope that they would be covered by xstrata offering script as part of the takeover deal,,, now they have to buy XTA(that's partly why up 11%overnight) funded most likely by the sale of MIM stock,, a smart move by Mick Davis.
Let's hope Vince has a private office somewhere to get a rival bidder!!
