Pardon me, but I really think your post grossly distorts my position.

I have never suggested that there should be anarchy or that there should be no regulation. This is what your analogy of the gladiator pit seems to suggest.

I have merely suggested that within the current context people get the knowledge and skills to manage their own personal investments in a rational manner.

With due respect, I don't think you have interpreted my position at all fairly. I hope in future you will understand my position with greater clarity.

We can't have policemen on every road crossing and every street corner. So people must take responsibility for the dangers which might befall them when crossing the road.

Personally, I'm somewhat visually challenged. But I've never been run over by a bus. Why? Simple really, I'm aware of my disability and of the context in which I live - so I take great care.

So should people in the stock market.
