consumer interest rates may be low for you and I, however possibly not for GPT and other REIT's that were smashed during the gfc. can't remember whether they had to renegotiate their bank loans, however if they did you can bet it wasn't at a low rate!
as this appears to be part of their overall strategy of overseas withdrawal, and reduces interest payments on non income producing investments, surely this would be all positive.
I guess the market agrees, pushing GPT up while GMG slides.
