The Company advised this at the last AGM -
Port Pemba is limited in capacity and has extremely high port costs.
The port at Nacala has no capacity limitations plus it has storage facilities. As well as this the costs are significantly lower than those at Pemba. Thus the extra trucking costs to Nacala from Balama were almost completely offset by the lower charges at Nacala. Over all effect on costs - virtually neutral.
