Essentially, this is a re-run of Scott Jordan's successful "technical" case against Tony Burke's approval of the Shree mine a couple of years back. I can't believe that the department and current Minister Greg Hunt have gone and made the same error once again...
Almost drives one to despair...what hope do we have when the people that are supposed to be on the side of development are getting their arses handed to them by a bunch of pro-bono greenie lawyers.
Of course, Hunt will just re-make the approval, but the damage has been done once again; the mine has been delayed and the courts (and the EPBC Act) have been the conduit.
This is just gobsmacking:...
