Understand what you say, so I followed up asking some female friends/family members their views, The unanimous response is that they are prepared to shop on-line for clothes BUT only if they can first sight / touch/ feel the goods in question. Things like shape. does the material crease, the quality of the fabric, etc are all factors here. Some are already buying on-line from Pas Group stores ( eg Black Pepper) as they have viewed/tried the product somewhere in a bricks and mortar store, so are comfortable with buying it on-line. Butsight unseen, that's a totally different matter
They commented that they have no issues buying from say Amazon, or other on-line retailers, for books, electronic stuff for example as they already know "what they are getting". They said clothes are a different matter, lots of little unknowns count a lot here in decision making. So, coming back to your comment, they will buy on-line, but with certain reservations. Comment was also made that if the clothing item has to be returned, its likely a hassle if dealing with Amazon, plus covering the postal expenses
As for the languishing share price, it all seems a bit overdone. There is not much liquidity, so a determined seller will cause a disproportionate impact on the share price. You would really have to wonder what Coliseum's view is as a 5o%+ shareholder, given they pitched their last takeover offer at 63 cents. Being a US company, this must look really cheap now in $US terms, as I think when they pitched the takeover offer the AUD was a lot stronger.
