Amadeus Basin is fortunate because its has extensive areas of salt layers underground - salt is 1 of the few very good seals that traps helium, so helium does not go thru the sale and accumulates.
Early resource estimate, Central Petroleum says the Amadeus Basin, Central Australia could potentially hold 4 4 bn cu feet of helium. It is well known that there is gas that has helium in it in the Amadeus Basin , so there is helium there. If commercialised gas would likely to be transported to Darwin..."
