@horst.....don’t forget a lot of the little towns that the Highway bypassed are now thriving little tourist towns In Their own right. Examples on the old Hume HWY are Berrimah, Jugiong and quite a number of others. Yass and Goulburn are now thriving “suburbs” of Canberra.
there may be hope for the old Blue yet !
