I also have a Schwab account, both a regular account and a global account...I can buy and sell PLS within my Global account for $32 Australian, or about $25 US...If the stock is under $1 Australian, I have to have to use a Schwab Global Specialist (phone call) to make the buy or sell for the above stated price..If the stock is over $1 Australian, I can buy or sell online myself for that same amount...
Many of the ASX cobalt junior stocks I had to have Schwab add them to their Global platform...I had them add about 10 or so...If you want to buy or sell any ASX stock that Schwab hasn't added yet to their Global Platform you can buy that stock in the regular account but it will cost $100US to do so...However, if that ASX stock also has an OTC symbol ending in F, then you can buy or sell for $4.95/trade...If that ASX stock ends in Y on the OTC it is an ADF symbol and will cost $50US...Pilbara has an OTC symbol of PILBF which you can buy or sell for $4.95/trade..Please note that the OTC market has less volume traded than on the regular ASX market.
