But I wouldn't be too excited about the "short squeeze", with the imminent interest rise nearly 100% on this Wednesday, shorters have all the reason to jump in again.
Actually makes it all the more mysterious, with Chi-x at 447.2k , ASX volume at 14.15M for a total of 14.5972M. Could it be that with the almost certain Fed rate rise that the shorts were lulled into complacency? Or, is someone, eg. insto, miner, JV partner, finally showing their hand?
Three things I'll be watching this week: 1. Short sales. 2. Substantial Holdings news. 3. GOR news, eg. drilling (volume seems too large for a leak), special dividend (really hope NOT).
