Yes, Long story...was offered shares in a placement years ago which I took up. The Broking firm banked my monies and gave me redeemable unsecured notes instead. I have in writing they offered me shares. They didnt tell me of their placement fee at the time of the investment. They didnt give me the terms of the notes until 2 years later.
They offered to redeem the notes 3 months after the initial investment and also offered me to have a look at a future deal and if i didnt like that deal I could have the notes redeemed. This never eventuated.
I chose the latter option, they are saying its my fault for relying on representations from another company but it was them who gave me those represntations.
The notes are now worthless.
Have had an ongoing case running with FOS and I need these answers as the case is about to close with me losing all my initial investment grrr
