Firstly you shouldn't be too upset. You haven't really lost any money yet.
Many investors (like our broker friend) are at huge losses on paper and realized.
We are in a bear market and strong positive days are likely to be met by a wall of sellers.
You should look to reduce exposure on some of your positions when we get a bounce. When this bounce will come I have no idea, it is looking very ugly.
In a Bear Market companies without solid earnings are hit hardest. You may look at reducing exposure to some of your least favourite and worst performing speculative positions when a good opportunity presents.These stocks SP's are highly 'news/announcement' based and can go up hard on positive news even when the general market is very weak.
